Gender and HIV Office

The Office of Gender and HIV contributes to ensuring the highest level of gender equality and equality in the College and to achieving the same goals in higher education institutions in the country. The office is also committed to working hard to achieve quality education by creating a gender sensitive and inclusive environment.

In addition to empowering female students and including gender in the College, the office works to alleviate major gender issues such as HIV / AIDS and sexual harassment.

Major Responsibilities of the Office:

  • Reducing gender-based problems in female students and in the College community
  • Fighting for justice whenever women's rights are violated at College 
  • Working to reduce dropout rates in female students
  • Achieving quality education through gender-sensitive and comprehensive curricula and other teaching materials
  • Raising awareness about gender in the college community
  • Developing female students’ and staff’s assertiveness;
  • Creating a conducive environment for female students and staff members to realize their potential;
  • Protecting women's rights at College ;
  • Working to stop sexual harassment, such as sexual harassment, through anti-sexual harassment tests;
  • Enhancing the academic performance of female students;
  • Contributing to national efforts to develop gender policy for higher education institutions
  • Involving female students and female staff in male roles
  • Providing services and interventions in the reproductive needs and objectives of women and men at the College;
  • Involving female students in identifying, prioritizing, and resolving reproductive health issues
  • Solving domestic violence, emotional and physical abuse and the risk of abandonment
